Kaunda reveals his U-17 squad for Niger

 

 

Lusaka, February 6th, 2015, ZANIS– Zambia Under 17 National football team Coach Chris Kaunda has unveiled a 21 man squad to travel to Niger for the junior Africa cup of nation’s tournament.

 

 

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications officer Nkweto Tembwe has announced that the FAZ annual general meeting will take place in Kabwe on March 28, 2015.

 

 

Announcing the squad at Football House in Lusaka today, Kaunda said his target is to reach the semi finals of the 11th edition of the Africa U17 championship.

 

 

The Junior Chipolopolo leaves the country on February 12, 2015 for the Africa U17 tournament which kicks off in Niger on February 15, 2015.

 

 

The players on the final list are goalkeepers, Daniel Sikanyika, Jackson Kakunta and Albert Mwanza.

 

 

Prosper Chilufya, Salati Lungu, Wayne Museba, Gift Sikaonga, Edward Chimfwembe, Stephen Chulu, and Alfred Chirwa are in the team as defenders.

 

 

Midfielders include Victor Chungu, Musonda Siame, Edwin Chipile, Ngosa Sunzu, Enock Mwepu, Garry Mwelwa and Mwansa Mwila, while the strikers are Pumulo Siwanga, Patson Daka, Kenny Sinkala and Peter Nyirenda.

 

 

Zambia is in group A with Nigeria, Guinea and hosts Niger, while group B has Cameroun, Ivory Coast, Mali and South Africa.

 

 

In addition, Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications officer Nkweto Tembwe has announced that the FAZ annual general meeting will take place in Kabwe on March 28, 2015.

 

 

Tembwe said the AGM which will take place at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority will among other issues ratify the fixtures for the 2015 FAZ/MTN super league which kicks off on March 14.
