Police in Mongu have recovered assorted stolen items worth K40,000.00

Among the stolen items recovered were 20 Plasma television sets, 30 decoders, 10 ordinary television sets, two radio cassettes and a fridge.

Western Provincial Police Commissioner Lombe Kamukoshi has confirmed the recovery of the goods to ZANIS adding that the merchandise were found in Katongo, Limulunga and Namushakende  during  night routine police patrols  last week.

Ms. Kamukoshi has since recommended members of the general Public for working hand in hands with security officers by reporting any suspicious looking cargo to the Police.

She has further appealed to the people who would have lost such possessions to go to the Police and identify their items.

The Police Commissioner said the Police will not relent or hesitate to arrest anyone in connection with the theft.

Police have instituted investigations into the matter to ascertain people behind the masses stealing of the supplies in question and ensuring that they have been brought before the law.
