NAPSA Sues Chipata Council over contributions

The National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has dragged Chipata Municipal Council to court for failure to make pension contributions contrary to the Laws of Zambia.

Chipata Municipal Council is also alleged to have failed to provide documents relating to employee wages and salaries contrary to section (7)(5) section 15(1) read with section 52 of the National Pensions Scheme Act 40 of 1996 of the Laws of Zambia.

The defendant Chipata Municipal Council was scheduled to take plea before Chipata Magistrate Prudence Mulenga this morning but the case failed to take off and has been adjourned to December 4, 2014.
