Lukulu boarding school set to open in 2015

 Lukulu Boarding Secondary School in Lukulu district is expected to be opened in January 2015.

Lukulu District Education Board Secretary Allan Mukata said that water reticulation and sewer system which were hindering the opening of the school were expected to be completed by next month end in  November.

Speaking during the third quarter Full Council Meeting held at the Council Chambers in Lukulu district yesterday, Mr. Mukata said that contractor has assured the line ministry that final works were progressing well.

Meanwhile, the Meeting also heard that the performance of Lukulu District Hospital had greatly improved considering that it was a first level hospital.

Hospital Superintendent Dr. Simon Mudemba told the Meeting that the hospital was able to perform major cases adding that there referral system is at five percent.

And the Forestry department submitted that it had distributed 117 modern bee hives for bee farmers in order to boost the industry in the district.

Aand Lukulu Council Chairman Liywa Kwalombota expressed happiness with the good attendance by  government departments, NGOs and other stakeholders who provided answers for councilors on programs that are in the district.
