Sata petitioned to cancel Ngwerere – Kasisi Road contract

In a petition addressed to President Michael the residents have argued that the road project needs a serious contractor who will deliver a good road for your citizenry that will achieve the objectives of the Link Zambia 8000 project in line with the Patriotic Front (PF) Manifesto.

The resident says one of the reasons that they want the contracted to be cancelled and given to another contractor is that in the last one and a half years, the contractor has only tarred 1.4km out of 34km of road.

They say the contractor is working in patches of the road with no serious cohesion or consistency in the standard of works. 

The residents note that they were hoping that after the refusal by you President Sata to commission the road project, the consultant, the contractor and those concerned would have been more serious on this road.
