Kampamba gets second best performing certificate

Lusaka, October 3 ,ZANIS—National soccer team assistant coach Chintu Kampamba was last night awarded with the second best performing certificate at the "B" Licence International coaching course in Germany.

The Chipolopolo assistant coach was among the 29 students from all over the world attending the "B" Licence International coaching course in the Germany town of Hennef.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Communications Officer Nkweto Tembwe has disclosed the development to ZANIS sports in a statement issued in Lusaka today.

Tembwe said Kampamba, who has been in Germany for the last three weeks, is expected to join the team over the weekend in readiness for next week’s Africa cup qualifier match against Niger.

And Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza yesterday joined the team after returning from Egypt where he was attending a football symposium which was reviewing the 2014 World Cup.

Janza, who joined the team in the afternoon training session at the Heroes’ stadium in Lusaka, described the Cairo symposium as a refresher course.

Meanwhile, all the local players called by Janza have reported to camp while Chisamba Lungu was the first foreign based player to join the squad yesterday.

Other foreign based players are expected to start arriving over the weekend in readiness for next week’s back to back encounter with Niger.

Cape Verde leads Group F with six points with Mozambique on second position with two points while Zambia is third and Niger on fourth position with a point apiece from two matches played so far.
