United Party for National Development (UPND) Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa says he finds it unfair to comment on President Michael Sata’s speech to Parliament because he did not read it in full.
Mr. Mweetwa who is also UPND Deputy Spokesperson says it is also difficult to try and put together the pieces of what President Sata was saying in his speech because he allegedly appeared to have difficulties in reading the speech.

Mr. Mweetwa says he will have to read the entire Presidential speech before commenting on its contents.

And United Liberal Party President (ULP) President Sakwiba Sikota who also attended the official opening of Parliament has told Qfm news in a separate interview that the President Sata’s speech to Parliament speaks for itself.

Mr. Sikota says the President’s public appearance during the official opening of Parliament has also accorded people the opportunity to make their own assessments with regards earlier speculations about his health.

Meanwhile newly reelected MMD Kasenengwa Member of Parliament Victoria Kalima has expressed disappointment with President Sata’s speech to Parliament.

Ms. Kalima says her disappointment is based on the fact that the President’s speech was empty as it did not bring out anything new.
