Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) members in Mkushi District have called on the newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Mkushi South Davis Chisopa (PF) to prioritise the establishment of a local Radio Station amongst the key projects earmarked for the Constituency.

CSPR Member Gershom Musonda told ZANIS that there was need for the MP to begin working on ways of establishing a radio station in the area because the constituency does not receive the signal from Mkushi Radio Station.

Mr Musonda stressed that a local radio station was an important tool that could help to accelerate development in Luano District’s Mkushi South Constituency.

He said that in view of this, there was need for Hon. Chisopa to work closely with Mkushi North MP Ingrid Mpande(PF) on strategies that would boost local radio station operations that would benefit both Constituencies.

Mr Musonda advised the newly elected MP to take advantage of the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) to ensure that a radio station is constructed quickly.
