Veep expected in East, tomorrow
Chipata, September 1, 2014, ZANIS….Vice President Guy Scott is
tomorrow expected in Eastern Province where he is scheduled to drum up
support for PF candidates in the Vubwi and Kasenengwa Parliamentary
by-elections slated for September 11, 2014.
According to a tentative programme released by Eastern Province
Permanent Secretary Chileshe Mulenga, Dr. Scott will arrive at Chipata
airport at 10:00 hours before proceeding to Vubwi where he will drum up
support for the PF candidate Margaret Miti in the Vubwi parliamentary
by-election.
He will later address a public rally at Kachilile school grounds.
Dr. Scott will hold two other public meetings at Kabvumo and Vumbi
school grounds, respectively.
The Vice President will on Wednesday be in Kasenengwa constituency in
Chipata district where he will hold public meetings to woe support for
Gideon Zulu at Kamutemeni village grounds and later proceed to Samuel
school grounds.
He will also address meetings at Chiparamba show and Mkowe school
grounds respectively.
On Thursday, Dr Scott will return to Vubwi where he will address
meetings at Kumba, Mbozi, Chibwe and Manota grounds.
Dr. Scott will conclude his campaign trail by holding public rallies
at Madzimawe, Chindunda, Chidzuzu and Pwata school grounds in
Kasenengwa constituency in Chipata district.
He is expected to return to Lusaka on Friday, September 6, 2014.
The Kasenengwa and Vubwi Parliamentary seats fell vacant following the
nullification of the two seats which were held by MMD Victoria Kalima
and Eustarckio Kazonga respectively due to electoral malpractice.
