—–Chirundu District Commissioner Peggy Nyirenda has implored ZAWA to consider employing more game guides.

Mrs Nyirenda complained that the current number of game guides in the district was not adequate enough to control animals crossing from neighboring Zimbabwe.

She disclosed that the animals where causing havoc in the district resulting in animal – human conflict.

Mrs Nyirenda said there is need to safe guide the lives of the local residents in the district from animal attacks.

She recalled that last year a human life was lost due to animal – human conflict in the district.

Meanwhile Chirund District Commissioner has praised government for the many projects taking place in the district since Chirundu was declared a district.

Mrs Nyirenda cited the completion and the commissioning of the Chiawa Bridge as one of the projects the PF government has constructed at a great cost.

She narrated that previously locals in Chiawa used to face challenges when crossing the Kafue river.
