TP Mazembe striker Jonas Sakuwaha is excited to be back in the Chipolopolo fold.

Sakuwaha has been called up for Zambia’s opening 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifier against Mozambique on September 6 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

The recall is the 31-year-old striker’s first to the team since June, 2013 when he took part in the 2014 Fifa World Cup Group D qualifiers against Lesotho and Sudan in Ndola.

“It feels good to be back to the national team unexpectedly. I thank my God for my answered prayers. It was my dream to come back again.”

Sakuwaha is one of four Mazembe players called up for the Morocco 2015 qualifiers by new Zambia coach Honour Janza.

Midfielder Rainford Kalaba, defender Kabaso Chongo and striker Given Singuluma have all been summoned for next month’s qualifier.

However, Janza is set to unveil his full list for the clash against Mozambique on August 22.

Meanwhile, Sakuwaha and his compatriots were part of Mazembe’s week-long training camp in Zambia that ended on Thursday that saw the recalled striker score one goal in the DR Congo champions 2-0 friendly match win over Faz Super League side Kabwe Warriors on Tuesday in Ndola.
