Insurance company launches medical advice services to clients

Metropolitan Zambia, an insurance company has launched a mobile application dubbed “Hello Doctor” that accords the company’s clients to access medical advice from qualified medical doctors through any smart phone application at zero cost.

The devise enables subscribers to get professional, confidential and trusted medical advice and guidance from a qualified medical doctor all year round.

Metropolitan Zambia Managing Director Florence Kazhanje stated that this initiative which is the first in the country and the second to be launched in Africa after South Africa stand to benefit many people as it will give citizens an opportunity to take charge of their health.

Mrs Kazhanje stated during a breakfast media briefing at Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka today that Hello Doctor is about preventive care as it is an easy and affordable way to interact with doctors anywhere and anytime.

She said the application is exclusively available to all Metropolitan clients.

Mrs Kazhanje said the application will further add to the 30, 000 clients who are on the insurance company’s medical scheme.
