— 300 youths to benefit form JAZ initiative

-Over 300 Zambian youths will benefit from the K364,780 immersion training strategy on Youth Margnalised Entrepreneurs Programme.

 

 

This is an initiative jointly spearheaded by Barclays Bank and Junior Achievement Zambia (JAZ), respectively.

 

 

 

JAZ Executive Director Teddy Nyasulu says the  K 364,780 has been set aside for training of youths in practical entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

 

 

ZANIS reports that the JAZ Executive director disclosed this in an interview in Lusaka today.

 

 

And Barclays Bank Zambia Managing Director Saviour Chibiya says that his Bank will continue empowering youths in the country.

 

 

Mr. Chibiya said this initiative demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy for the next generation.

 

 

He further disclosed that his bank in conjunction with  JAZ has another ambitious programme dubbed, “You can be Initiative.”

 

 

He said to date 2,600 in-school youths have so far benefited and created 150 jobs across its 11 branches in the country.
