His name is Dawson Kafwaya and he is the UPND candidate for the Solwezi central by-election on 11th September. Born on 1st April 1984 in Kyafukuma area of Solwezi, Dawson went to Solwezi Senior Technical Secondary School. He later obtained a degree in banking and finance from the Copperbelt University. He also has a certificate in international banking and he is currently pursuing a masters in business administration (MBA).
He has worked for Finance bank, Bank of Zambia and was, up to the time of his adoption, working for National Savings and Credit Bank (Natsave).
Dawson has impacted the lives of people in most of North western province through his community works. He has also been at the center of grassroots youth football in Solwezi.
He is a devoted Christian who is very active in his local church, giving both of his resources and time.
Dawson is a politician through and through and believes in standing up for the voiceless and the common good. At CBU, he was elected to the student council.
