National Airline

A Development Expert has called on government to pump in the required funding to establish a National Airline.

Professor Francis Chigunta,  an Oxford and Cambridge alumni, says government should also set up a committee of Aviation experts that can work with consultants to establish a national airline.

Professor Chigunta says consultants such as Lufthansa have helped many Africa countries to establish national airlines.

He says the team should carry out a case study of successive African Airlines and help identify a partner to that can run the local airline for the first three years before being fully taken up by local operators.

Professor Chigunta was speaking when he featured on the ZNBC Kwacha Good Morning Zambia Television program on Saturday.

He says promotion of Zambia as a tourist destination requires that National Airline is established.
