Referees in Kasama have bemoaned the poor leadership of the Northern Province Referees’ Association (NPRA).

The referees have charged that association chairperson, Martin Mumba and his Secretary, Justine Mumbi are allegedly corrupt and were
misappropriating funds for the association.

Representative of the referees, Mutale Mwansa, revealed the development to ZANIS in an interview.

Mwansa alleged that the two leaders are mismanaging funds that are meant to improve football in the province.

He charged that the two leaders were working in isolation and awarding each other hefty and unnecessary allowances.

Mwansa alleged that the duo were arrogant and lacked respect for other members as they have continuously used disrespecting words on others.

He appealed to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and its president, Kalusha Bwalya, to do something about the matter as the
situation is getting out of hand.

He advised that the duo should be transferred elsewhere as the football fraternity in the province is at its lowest peak.

And when contacted for comment, Northern Province Referees Chairperson, Martin Mumba, declined to comment on the allegations saying
it is an in -house issue.
