Parliament is unable to hold government accountable – Chipenzi

The Foundation for Democratic Process-FODEP has charged parliament in its current format is unable to hold government accountable even when things are not going right due to a weak constitution in place.

FODEP Executive Director, Macdonald Chipenzi said there is need for a proper constitution to be put in place to govern the nation, stating that Zambians cannot continue to allow things go wrong simply because of a weak constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi added that people are able to go to Parliament and tell lies yet they are not held accountable for that.
He has since urged government to give the people of Zambia a constitution, stating that it has been long overdue.
