MMD president Nevers Mumba has ruled out any possibility of changing the party’s leadership before the next national convention as stipulated by the party constitution.

Dr Mumba has told QFM News in an interview that the former ruling party remains a democratic party and will have its national convention when time is due.

He says it is only then that the party leadership will be changed, stating that in the meantime he will concentrate on reorganizing the former ruling party.

Dr Mumba says the former ruling party just like any other political party has its own problems but that it is the leadership that makes sure that these problems are resolved.

He has since warned that the party leadership will not take kindly any member who rushes to the media to bring the party into ridicule.

Dr Mumba says the party has to this effect constituted a disciplinary committee to ensure that anyone who brings the name of the party into disrepute is dealt with
