All is set for this Saturday’s Patriotic Front (PF) elections to elect the Copperbelt provincial Committee slated for Hindu Hall in Ndola at 9:00hrs.

Announcing the development in Lusaka last evening, PF Chairperson for Elections, Silvia Masebo, told Journalists that in accordance with the regulations 7.6 of the PF’s electoral regulations, delegates to the Provincial conference shall be constituted with at least 50 percent of all constituency officials in Copperbelt Province.

Ms Masebo says only delegates to the Provincial Conference are eligible to vote and can stand as candidates for elections to the Provincial Committee.

Ms Masebo clarifies that all delegates wishing to stand as candidates shall submit their applications to the Chairperson of the elections committee and must be supported by at least thirty (30) members within Copperbelt Province who are not their family members.

Ms. Masebo, who is also Tourism and Arts Minister, states that the Provincial Conference shall also be constituted by three constituency officials from each constituency in the province.

She explains that the three constituency officials must consist of Chairman of the Constituency, the Constituency Chairlady and Constituency Youth Chairperson.
