Zambia defender Stopilla Sunzu on Saturday scored his debut Ligue 1 goal to hand struggling Sochaux a 1-0 home win over Nantes.

The 24-year-old defenders winner over eighth placed Nantes handed his former Zambia mentor Herve Renard his second Ligue 1 win since taking over at Sochaux last October.
Sunzu found the target in the 45h minute from a set piece after heading in a Sébastien Roudet delivery.
The goal was the Zambia defenders’ first in four games since he joined Sochaux on January 4 from DR Congo club TP Mazembe.
And Sunzu’s effort goes in some way to justify his reported Euro 1 million price tag from Mazembe.
Sunzu has so far clocked in 360 minutes in Ligue 1 action since his move to France.
However, despite the win, Sochaux stay second from bottom in 19th place on 15 points after 23 games played this season.

Meanwhile, his compatriot and striker Emmanuel Mayuka started the game but was substituted in the 75th minute.
