Mitete district receives vehicle, equipment

-Mitete District Council has received a motor vehicle to help in the operations of the new district.

Mitete District Council Secretary, Robbie Chitambo, disclosed the development to ZANIS in Lukulu district.

Mr Chitambo said a new brand 4 X 4 Nissan hard body from the Ministry of Local Government and Housing will help the newly created Mitete district in collecting revenues among other things.

The Council Secretary added that this shows that government is committed to taking development closer to the people, saying the coming of the motor vehicle is an indication of so many things still to happen in the district.

He said he is very grateful to government for the gesture, adding that the district will make good use of the vehicle.

In another development Mr Chitambo said the district has also received office equipments comprising of computers, printers and fax machines.

He said the equipments were officially handed over by the Minister of Local Government and Housing on Friday last week in Lusaka.
