28-year-old man of Sachalwa village and 32 year-old woman of Siyachitema village of Sesheke have been charged with assault on a child contrary to section 248A of the penal code, chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that Claire Musonda and Boniface Kambulu on dates unknown but between October 10 and December 12, 2013 at Livingstone in Livingstone district of Southern Province, allegedly assaulted a child thereby occasioning him bodily harm.
However, resident magistrate Chinkashi Chilingala adjourned the case to a later date for ruling.
