State House has challenged the Technical Committee Drafting the Constitution to come clean on claims that the final draft constitution has been leaked.

This follows the publication of what is purported to be the final draft constitution by some online media.

Special Assistant to the President for President and Public Relations, George Chellah in a statement issued to QFM News today, says government believes the men and women on the Technical Committee appointed by President Michael Sata have their integrity to protect and cannot stoop to such low acts as leaking vital documents.

Mr Chellah says Government is still waiting for the Technical Committee Drafting the Republican Constitution to hand over the final document and has nothing to do with the purported Draft Constitution circulating among the members of the public.

He has since advised members of the public to exercise caution not to be misled as regards the authenticity of any such document.

And acting Chief Government Spokesperson Fackson Shamenda has dismissed as fake the Draft Constitution being circulated by some publications.

Mr Shamenda has maintained that government has not yet received the draft constitution from the Technical Committee.

Mr. Shamenda has told QFM News in an interview that the document being circulated could be any of the old documents.

He adds that if anybody has leaked the document before it is handed over to the government it will complicate matters.
