Former finance minister Ng’andu Magande has charged that the Patriotic Front’s plans have taken the country in a wrong way.

Mr. Magande has told QFM news in an interview that, the events such as the country running out of anti retroviral drugs (ARVs) is a clear failure to run the health sector.

Mr. Magande explains that government through the ministry of health should step up its efforts to work hard and ensure that the health sector becomes more effective to help save lives.

He says it is unfortunate that many patients that are on live saving drugs had a tough year in 2013 because of the shortage of drugs that hit the country for some months.

Mr. Magande adds that there is need for serious planning by the ministry of finance and ministry of health and allocate more funding to the health sector.
