Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has projected reduced investment towards infrastructure by government because more money will be channeled to cover for the leakages in the 2013 National Budget.
Ms Nawakwi says the 2013 National Budget was blown up in the first quarter because of the unbudgeted for expenditure by government.

Speaking to QFM News in an interview, Ms Nawakwi says the Patriotic Front Government exceeded expenditure in the 2013 national budget and will therefore try by all means to cover up the gaps created as a result.

Ms Nawakwi, who is a former Finance Minister, says it is evident that the road projects government has embarked on such as the Link Zambia 8000 and Pave Zambia 2000 were not budgeted for in the 2013 National Budget.

She adds that most people are expecting Finance Minister, Alexander Chikwanda as he presents the 2014 National Budget this Friday to tell the nation how government will avoid the crisis which they created this year.
