PF will emerge stronger ahead of 2016 polls – Sakala

Losing PF Kapoche constituency candidate in the 2011 general elections Paradious Sakala says internal wrangles that have characterized the ruling party in the recent weeks cannot be used as a basis for the opposition MMD to call for the impeachment of President Michael Sata.

Mr. Sakala has observed that such statements by Dr. Mumba to call for the impeachment of the Head of State should not be entertained in the country by all well-meaning Zambians because the issue of tribal talks and infighting has not affected the general governance of the country.

Mr. Sakala has also predicted that the MMD initiated impeachment campaign of President Sata will not work in same manner other previous attempts of impeaching the Head of State had failed as recorded in the country’s history.

Mr. Sakala has advised the opposition in the country to instead concentrate on strengthening themselves as opposed to taking advantage of the challenges that the PF is currently going through.

Mr. Sakala has also expressed optimism that the infighting within the PF has come at the right time as it will now give the PF ample time to resolve the challenges and emerge a strong party ahead of the 2016 general elections.
