PRESIDENT Sata is saddened with the continued spate of violence being perpetuated by political party cadres during elections.

The President said violence during elections should be stopped because this has potential to disrupt the peace and unity the country has been enjoying over the years.
He said this in Lusaka yesterday when he opened the Third Session of the 11th National Assembly.
President Sata has also assured Zambians that government has no intentions of turning the country into a one party state.
Mr Sata said his government is fully committed to upholding the rule of law including separation of powers among the three arms of government.
President Sata also said his government will remain committed to delivering a people-driven Constitution.
“The consultative process has been completed and the final draft Constitution is expected by the end of this year.
“Thereafter, the government in collaboration with other stakeholders, will guide the process accordingly,” he said.
Mr Sata also said the fight against corruption will continue to remain one of the top priorities on his government’s good governance agenda.
He said Government, will therefore, continue to strengthen and decentralise operations of the Anti-Corruption Commission to enable it effectively execute its mandate.
“To this end, the government has established a special investigations unit in the commission to deal with complex financial crimes,” President Sata said.
The President also said Government will continue upholding the fundamental principles of sovereign equality and mutual respect.
Mr Sata said Government will, therefore, strive to ensure that Zambia continues to play an active role in international organisations.
He said the foreign policy is aimed at repositioning the country so that it derives maximum benefits from international relations.
And there was jubilation in the House when newly elected members of Parliament Mtolo Phiri (MMD Chipata Central), Brian Chitafu (UPND Kafulafuta), Engrid Pande (PF Mkushi North) and Peter Phiri (MMD Mkaika), were introduced to take oath before Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini.

  2. The hair follicles are not receiving the right balance of nutrients
they need to grow. Eventually this can cause hair thinning or
patches of bald spots. Remember, the foaming action of regular shampoos and detergents is for
    looks only.
