‘We are not weak’ says opposition

Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) President Nevers Mumba says President Michael Sata is contradicting himself when he says the opposition in the country is weak.

Dr Mumba wonders how President Sata would on one day say that his government is under attack from the opposition without his Ministers retaliating and the next day say the same opposition is weak.

The MMD president has maintained that the opposition in the country is strong pointing out that this is the reason they have continued winning by-elections.

Dr. Mumba has told Qfm in an interview that President Sata should instead concentrate on delivery what he promised the people of Zambia as opposed to giving conflicting statements with regards the strength of the opposition.

Meanwhile the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has stated that the performance of Ministers has nothing to do with the opposition%u2019s strength in the country.

UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba notes that the PF has a manifesto and that the failure to implement the manifesto should not be blamed on the opposition.

Mr. Simusamba spoke in a separate telephone interview with Qfm.
