Sevens squad leaves for Nairobi

A CONFIDENT 15-member Sevens squad yesterday left for Nairobi for the 18th edition of the Safaricom Sevens Rugby tournament that kicks of today at the Moi International Sports Center in Kenya.

The team by Tedias Mupeta left Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola yesterday around 12:45 hours aboard a Kenyan Airline.

Coach Musonda Kaminsa was confident of positive results at the tournament and declared his charges ready for the challenge.

“Our focus is to put up a strong performance against our opponents and we hope to achieve the best,” he said.
Zambia is among the cream of elite rugby teams from across the world that includes Australian Renegades, the Samurai of Japan, England Royals and Hamilton Raiders.
