The Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) says PF Secretary General and Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba%u2019s harassment by PF cadres is a taste of his own medicine.
FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza in a statement issued to QFM News says Mr Kabimba vehemently defended the PF cadres who perpetuated violence with impunity when the opposition condemned them, claiming that PF cadres were peaceful and that violence is an unforgivable crime in PF.
Mr Mwanza says instead of condemning and disciplining his violent cadres, Mr Kabimba chose to be their defender and a silent observer.
He says the PF Secretary General is today no longer a freeman, as he can neither go to his party office nor address a press conference for fear of being attacked by the cadres he was defending not so long ago.
Mr Mwanza adds that it is prudent for leaders to be honest with themselves and stand for what is right even if doing so would jeopardize their personal interests.
And Mr Mwanza says the verbal and physical infighting that has continued to characterize the Patriotic Front in the recent past is a clear testimony that there is a serious leadership crisis in the ruling party.
He says the physical confrontations between Mr Kabimba and defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba’s supporters is evidence that the PF is cracking.
The FDD Spokesperson adds that the power struggle with the PF, less than 2-years since they formed government is as a result of lack of leadership, greed and the insatiable appetite for power on the part of the top leadership.
Mr Mwanza further states that it is clear that the PF cannot survive beyond President Sata because its leadership lacks vision, compassion and the humility to steer the nation to greater social and economic advancement.
