Defence deputy Minister Davies Mwila has resigned his position with immediate effect.

In his resignation letter to the president made available to QFM, Mr. Mwila has thanked president Sata for the opportunity given to him to serve in his position.

Mr. Mwila says he will remain loyal to the party and continue to perform other party duties.

Mr. Mwila who has not disclosed the reasons for his resignation has also pledged to continue representing the people of Chipili as Member of Parliament.
