MMD is delusional – Kasonde

The Patriotic Front in Shibuyunji district says the MMD is being delusional to think they will bounce back to power in 2016.
PF Shibuyunji district Secretary Joseph Kasonde says assertions by MMD vice president Michael Kaingu that the party will bounce back to power in 2016 following its strong showing in the Mkaika by-election should not fool the former ruling party which led a corrupt government for 20 years.
Mr Kasonde points to the several MMD leaders who are in court facing charges of corruption as an indication of how corrupt the former ruling party was prompting Zambians to vote them out of power.
He says the memories of the Zambian people are very fresh on the MMD’s destruction of the country such that no reasonable Zambian would want the party to return to power as early as 2016.
He adds that Mr Kaingu should not be blind to the current developmental programmes which the PF government has embarked on such as the creation of jobs,recapitalization of Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia which he says has boosted the Farmer Input Support Programme, rescue of Zamtel and Zambia Railways among others.
Mr Kasonde adds that the PF government has also embarked on infrastructure development as the Link Zambia 8000 road project.
