3 children die in road accident as they attempted to cross the road

Three children believed to be from the same family have died in a road traffic accident after being hit by a motor vehicle.
The three met their fate along Undi Road in Katete District on Saturday as they attempted to cross the road.
Eastern Province Police chief Grace Chipalila confirmed the death of the children but said she was waiting for more details from officers on the ground.
“Yes I have received a report of the death of three children which happened soon after the Kulamba traditional ceremony along Undi Road but I have no full details yet as our officers are still investigating the matter,” she said.
Former Chipata Central Member of Parliament Lameck Mangani who witnessed the accident said the mishap could have been caused by poor visibility because of dust plumes.
