Lusaka, May 9th, ZANIS—The Chipolopolo Bras Band Supporters (CBBS) has
urged soccer fans in the country to adopt trumpeting as the solitary
and major style of supporting the national teams.
CBBS Chairperson Chisenga Lwipa said Zambia should at all cost emulate
South Africa which blows the Vuvuzelas and adopt trumpeting as the
sole style of cheering the national football teams.
ZANIS sports reports that Lwipa said this in an interview in Lusaka today.
He explained that trumpeting has negative impact on opponents as its
audibility can instill massive morale in the players.
And Lwipa has appealed to all soccer loving Zambians who are able to
blow the trumpet to come on board and join the Chipolopolo Brass Band
He however cited lack of adequate resources as the major contributing
factor preventing his association to train more soccer fans on how to
blow the trumpets whenever the national teams are playing.
