Chief Mphuka urges his subject to support PF govt.

Luangwa, May 9, 2013.ZANIS  —  Chief Mphuka of the Chikunda people in Luangwa District has urged his subjects in the area to support the PF Government in its efforts of improving their livelihood.

And Luangwa District Council Secretary, Peter Nguluwe has assured the people of Chidada in Hotela village that no one will be displaced with developments that are coming to the area.

Luangwa District Commissioner, Eunie Mumba says the PF government was a listening Government that wants to improve the well being of the people.

ZANIS reports that Chief Mphuka of the Chikunda people made the call yesterday when he addressed scores of his subjects at Hotela and Mandombe villages during two separate meetings.

It was at these meetings  where the Traditional ruler said the PF Government of President Sata has realized the dreams of the people of Luangwa District by tarring the D145 main road.

Chief Mphuka urged the people to support and rally behind the PF Government which is fulfilling its campaign promises of developing rural Districts such as Luangwa.

He said the Government in the few years that it has been in power has initiated a lot of developments in Luangwa District which are all aimed at enhancing development.

The Traditional ruler lamented that Luangwa District has lagged behind in terms of development and called the people to support Government in its programmes and policies.

And Luangwa District Council Secretary, Peter Nguluwe has assured the people of Chidada in Hotela village that no one will be displaced with developments that are coming to the area.

Mr. Nguluwe said his council with the support of the Ministry of Local Government and Housing has embarked on the expansion of the township where it has already surveyed more
than 1000 residential and commercial plots for development.

He said with these new developments the council has set aside some plots for those that cannot afford to buy bigger plots.

Mr. Nguluwe also told the people of Chidada that there village has been set aside to be a culture village because of the rich history that the village has.

Meanwhile Luangwa District Commissioner, Eunie Mumba has said the PF Government of President Michael Sata was a listening Government that wants to improve the well being of the people.

Mr. Mumba commended the Council for implementing Government programmes and policies in a manner that will enhance development in the District.

The District Commissioner said this during the same two meetings addressed by Chief Mphuka.
